Weekly VIBE yoga class:
Mondays 5:30pm (All Levels Yoga)
Wednesdays 5:30pm (Beginner Basics)
My yoga journey actually began at a Pilates studio in 2010. I was pretty much hooked right out of the gate and continued to attend one or two classes a week
over the next year or so. However, it wasn't until I purchased a Groupon to Allen Yoga Center (now Vibe) in 2012 that I really discovered my passion for the
practice. Being able to get on my mat more frequently, and try out different styles and teachers showed me that there was so much more that yoga had to offer.
I started practicing as often as I could. When I'm on my mat, I feel peaceful, yet powerful; calm, yet strong. And when it's over, I feel balanced...even when
I'm having an "off" day. There's something to be said about a practice that can leave you feeling completely relaxed and super strong at the same time. I know
it sounds cliché, but it really is incredible what integrating breath into movement can do for both the mind and body. Quite simply, I love this practice.
While the physical aspect of yoga is what initially lured me in, it quickly went beyond that. I wanted to learn more and more about the practice as a whole, so
for me, signing up for teacher training seemed like the obvious next step. I completed my 200 hour training through Grow Yoga Teacher Training in April 2015.
I then started my 300 hour training with Grow which I completed in December 2015. I love being both a student and an instructor of this practice that I love so
much. I firmly believe that yoga can be for any and everybody. I can't imagine it ever not being a part of my life. And now, I'm so very happy and grateful to
not only practice, but also help guide others at the studio I call home.
When I'm off my mat I like traveling, seeing live music, loving on my three kitties
and going to sporting events...Go Rangers & Go Pack Go!
Love Vibe Yoga in Village Shopping Center Allen, Tx. Everyone there was friendly and welcoming. The instructor Maria was fantastic, warm, prepared and made the class approachable, thematic, and super instructive.
